Biography:
Стэнли родился и вырос в Гонконге, и самое большое влияние на него оказал Брюс Ли, с творчеством которого Стэнли столкнулся еще в юном возрасте. Когда ему исполнилось 12 лет, он начал тренировки с различными мастерами кунгфу. За это время он успел изучить огромное количество различных стилей и техник, как, например, Hung Boxing, Tai-Chi, Kickboxing, Wing Chun, Chi Gong, а также северные стили и техники обращения с мечом, копьем и шестом, а также успел побыть и акробатом, достаточно долгое время посвятив трамплину и гимнастике. Вся эта тяжелая учеба привела его к учительскому месту в Китайском Квартале в Канаде, куда он переехал в возрасте 17 лет. В то время Тонг выиграл звание чемпиона на Чемпионате Страны по Боевым Искусствам "Октагон", который проводился в 1984 году, победив остальных оппонентов своим каратэ и различными стилями кунгфу.
