Chow Yun-Fat and Aaron Kwok, who tested each other's mettle in Cold War 2 (though this is certainly not their first collaboration), will star together again. Their new project is titled Unparallelled, and it will be shot in Hong Kong by the ever-reliable creative duo of Felix Chong and Alan Mak (the pair also wrote the script). The plot is being kept under wraps for now, and no release date has been set, not even approximately.

The three films in the Overheard series have been among the highest-grossing Hong Kong projects of recent years, and it would be a shame if that were the end of the franchise's story. Fortunately, it isn't — at least, its producer Derek Yee is actively developing the idea for a fourth film. This time, though, he will depart from the rule of giving the three lead roles to Lau Ching-Wan, Louis Koo and Daniel Wu — the new picture will star other actors in the lead. What he has decided regarding the ever-present directors and screenwriters Felix Chong and Alan Mak is also still unclear.

Alan Mak and Felix ChongA minor local scandal quietly flared up and fizzled out in Hong Kong — Ng Man-Tat told the press he was "slightly" upset with the directors of Infernal Affairs 3, Alan Mak and Felix Chong, because they cut down his role in the film. He said they had originally agreed on seven days of shooting, but he only worked three, so now he refuses to take part in the film's promotional campaign. The directors didn't hold back and explained everything — yes, the original contract was for seven days of shooting, but they finished faster because they used a three-camera setup (instead of a single-camera one) and slightly reshuffled the shooting schedule to get everything filmed as quickly as possible. They're not worried about the actor's refusal to promote the film — they say he's getting old and is in poor health, so let him rest.
