Sure enough, the rich young man He Guo-Ji falls head over heels for Jin at first sight, while Yin's boyfriend turns out to be Guo-Ji's cousin Chen Ming-Zheng. Ming-Zheng loves fishing and often takes Yin's boat out to sea, and the two become good friends. Show more Guo-Ji teases Ming-Zheng for falling in love with a boat woman, and Jin, afraid of being looked down upon, keeps her background hidden. Jin and Yin constantly show off their ideal suitors to each other, but fortunately both romances progress smoothly. When the parents of both families learn of this, they arrange to meet. Ming-Zheng coaches Yin to pose as a French exchange student, while Jin dresses up as a refined lady. But Ming-Zheng's father once rode Jin's boat out to sea and exposes her true identity in front of everyone. Jin's mother, indignant, then reveals Yin's background as well.
