Description:
During the era of warlord infighting, years of continuous war left the people destitute. The Xieling faction, who had long since washed their hands of the tomb-raiding trade, were forced to descend into tombs once more to trade treasures for grain and save the common folk. Jiang Yu, heir to Xieling, follows his uncle—Xieling chief Jiang Huai-Rui—and leads a band of Xieling warriors into a tomb. Not long after entering, the group is attacked by giant spiders lurking within, and only Jiang Yu and the guard Xiong Kui, carrying the gravely wounded Jiang Huai-Rui on their backs, manage to escape back to the stronghold. Upon reaching the entrance, the three discover a woman in bridal attire. She calls herself Gu Ling and claims she was betrothed to Jiang Yu in childhood. She has come to marry him in exchange for a betrothal gift to trade for grain and save her starving younger brother. Just then, Lu Xiao-Man, a trusted subordinate of the warlord Zhang Da-Shuai, arrives at the gate and tells Jiang Yu that Zhang Da-Shuai has a business proposition for him.
Jiang Yu is coerced into meeting Zhang Da-Shuai at his opera garden. Under Zhang Da-Shuai's repeated threats using Jiang Huai-Rui's life, Jiang Yu has no choice but to agree. Xiong Kui and Gu Ling, uneasy about Jiang Yu going alone, follow along into the tomb.
Jiang Yu leads Zhang Da-Shuai and his men into the same tomb the Xieling group had entered before. But when they pass the places the Xieling group had traversed, they find that the bodies of the fallen Xieling warriors have all vanished.

Главная ошибка создателей - это решение все ж таки запустить в фильм существ, на которых "Гробница" финансово – ну! – никак не тянет. И тут-то и может случиться диссонанс у неподготовленного к такому антиазиатского зрителя между положительными эмоциями и еле сдерживаемым смехом, потому как надо быть очень лояльным, чтобы спокойно смотреть на таких паучков и гигантские плотоядные цветы в 20-тые годы 21-го века. И если от устаревшей компУтерности паутинометающих еще можно хоть как-то абстрагироваться, наслаждаясь добротной динамикой и вполне обаятельными персами, то чем дальше в лес, тем толще партизаны, как говорится: финальный босс просто убивает весь саспенс на корню.
Перед нами тот самый случай, когда бабки решают. То есть, и так получилось неплохо, но у кинА виден такой нереализованный потенциал, что становится несколько обидно за всех участников процесса после финальных титров. В том числе, и за себя любимого, зрителя.
