Description:
Ye Ying-Wen (Carol Cheng Yu-Ling) is a brilliant barrister renowned in legal circles for her sharp mind and fierce competence, while Fang Wei (Alex Man Chi-Leung) is a senior inspector at the prosecution service. Though they are a couple, their opposing careers constantly put them at odds. Photographer Tian Di-Wen (Wilson Lam Jun-Yin) is charged with rape, and denying the crime outright, he hires Ye Ying-Wen to defend him. Fang Wei is deeply displeased that Ye Ying-Wen makes no distinction between good and evil, but she firmly believes that until the facts are established, everyone is innocent. Show more
The victim is a beautiful model named Ling Zu-Er (Joey Wong Cho-Yin), whose spirit has been driven to the brink of collapse by the case. Shan-Shan (Prudence Liew Mei-Kwan) is Ling Zu-Er's younger sister, and determined to fight for her sister, she hatches a scheme to force Tian Di-Wen into a confession, only to find her cleverness backfiring. As the final trial is about to begin, at this critical juncture Ye Ying-Wen discovers crucial evidence that could overturn all previous conclusions.

Не зря Пруденс Лью получила награду, так как играет очень жизненно, коммуникабельно и эмоционально. Что касается Джой Вонг, то она набрала пару килограммов в нужных местах и стала еще аппетитней. Ну а злодей из Уилсона Лам'а не получился (и лицом не вышел и играет не так. Сюда бы кого-нибудь с лицом Шин Фуй-Он'а в насильники), ему больше идут положительные роли добряка. Так как большая часть ленты происходит в суде, то стоит выделить Кэрол Чэн в роли жесткого адвоката Ин Вэнь насильника, которой совсем чужда "женская солидарность" или которая просто хорошо делает свою работу. Однако, персонажу Алекса Ман удалось повлиять на Кэрол Чэн (эпизод в лифте), так как она резко поменялась в финале, за что и поплатилась (как по мне, во второй половине фильма именно она главная героиня, так как Джой Вонг совсем уходит на второй план).
