Description:
Bin-Bin (Siu Ban-Ban) lives at the Fu You Center and, despite his young age, is sharp as a whip, constantly driving the grumpy director of the center (Eric Tsang) up the wall along with the other kids. One day, inspired by a fairy tale, Bin-Bin sneaks out of the center to go exploring and stumbles upon a brother-and-sister magic act, Fu (John Shum) and Jia (Sylvia Chang). Jia is a compulsive gambler who uses their magic shows to pick pockets, but Bin-Bin catches her in the act. Buried in gambling debts, Jia drags Fu into trouble with debt collectors. Show more To help his imprisoned sister pay off what she owes, Fu takes a desperate risk and gets caught up in a robbery, and by a twist of fate befriends Bin-Bin. Fu is kind-hearted and takes the boy home to live with him, and Bin-Bin comes to adore this curly-haired "magician." When Jia is finally released, Bin-Bin and Fu have become inseparable. But as a child of the Fu You Center, Bin-Bin is bound to be adopted sooner or later, which leaves both of them deeply heartbroken.
