Andrew Lam plays a Doctors Without Borders physician returning from the battlefield, who takes in a group of old folks — played by Richard Ng, Bruce Leung, Teddy Robin and Tien Niu — at his ancestral nursing home, where they are lovingly cared for by Ching Ching, a nurse's aide played by Ivana Wong. Sammo Hung plays Fatty Crab, a Chinese detective who was dismissed for being overweight and now suffers from dementia, and who also becomes a resident of the home. Yet the peaceful life of the nursing home is disrupted when the superintendent, played by Lam Suet, seeks revenge on his old primary school classmate, sending two lowly clerks, played by Louis Cheung and Bob Lam, to infiltrate the home and stir up trouble.
