Ling Hu-Chong, the eldest disciple of the Huashan Sect, is ordered by his master Yue Bu-Qun to disguise himself with his childhood sweetheart, junior sister Yue Ling-Shan, as tavern hands and lie low at the foot of the Wuyi Mountains. On the way, Ling Hu-Chong happens to meet Qu Yang, an elder of the demonic sect, and the two feel a mutual affinity; the senior and junior disciples also rescue Lin Ping-Zhi, the young chief escort of the Fuwei Escort Agency, who is being hunted by the Qingcheng Sect. Show more After Lin Ping-Zhi is brought back to Huashan, Yue Ling-Shan secretly falls for him, which leaves Ling Hu-Chong uneasy. On top of that, gravely wounded and perhaps with little time left to live, he decides to leave. While wandering the martial world, he meets Ren Ying-Ying, the Holy Maiden of the demonic sect, who loves him and spares neither manpower nor resources to heal him. Through a series of fateful encounters, Ling Hu-Chong comes to know Feng Qing-Yang, Xiang Wen-Tian, Lan Feng-Huang, Master Ding Yi and many other masters, learns more profound martial arts, and meets the beautiful and innocent junior sister Yi Lin. Together with Ren Ying-Ying, he defeats Zuo Leng-Chan, the sect leader of Songshan who schemes to swallow up the Five Mountains, and rescues Ying-Ying's father Ren Wo-Xing, imprisoned by Dongfang Bu-Bai. Yet things do not unfold as imagined: one Dongfang Bu-Bai is dead, and a new Dongfang Bu-Bai will be born.
