Description:
Ma Qi-Ming, deputy chief commander of the Jing-Shan Economic Development Zone, had achieved remarkable results, yet was suddenly transferred by the Jing-Shan Party Committee to serve as secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Lin-He City. On his way to Lin-He, however, Ma Qi-Ming is stopped by Su Zi, who begs him to uncover the truth behind the death of her husband — taxi driver Tao Shi. At the same time, the criminal underworld sends an assassin to kill Su Zi. Ma Qi-Ming behaves unusually, quietly and evasively making a detour. Deputy director of the city Public Security Bureau Li Chun-Jiang, newspaper reporter Ji Xiao-Fei and others are deeply disappointed and dissatisfied, while the criminal and corrupt forces — represented by Tong Bai-Shan, chairman of the local pillar enterprise Bai-Shan Group, and Wu Da-Gong, executive deputy director of the Public Security Bureau — secretly rejoice. Behind the calm surface, Ma Qi-Ming conducts a secret investigation. Facing enormous pressure and a tangled situation, with the support of the Jing-Shan Party Committee and the Lin-He Municipal Party Committee, Ma Qi-Ming and his allies completely thwart the schemes of Tong Bai-Shan and his men, and the truth about Tao Shi's case is revealed to the world. Ma Qi-Ming finally fulfills his solemn mission of eradicating the criminal forces and the corrupt tumor in Lin-He.
