Description:
The story takes place in the early years of the Republic of China. The Huo and Zhao families are the two great pillars of the martial arts world, and they have long been locked in fierce dispute over whose style is the authentic Mizongquan. Huo Yuan-Jia (played by Huang Yuan-Shen) is the fourth son of the Huo family. Because he was frail and sickly from childhood, no one had high hopes for him, nor did they intend to teach him martial arts. Yet the highly gifted Huo Yuan-Jia managed to grasp Mizongquan on his own, and on the day the two families had agreed to hold a match, he used it to defeat his opponent Cheng Tian-Xiao. Show more But Cheng Tian-Xiao was so devastated that he unexpectedly passed away. His disciple Chen Zhen (played by Bruce Leung), seeking revenge for his master, took Huo Yuan-Jia as his teacher and bided his time.
The group arrives in Tianjin. Huo Yuan-Jia's formidable skills quickly draw the attention of the Japanese, and he is hunted down. They have no choice but to flee to Beijing with Qian-Nan (played by Michelle Yim) and establish the Jingwu Men.
