Description:
This is a beautiful legend known to every household. The seven princesses of the Jade Emperor (Wu Lan-Hui) grew weary of the loneliness of the heavenly palace, parted the clouds and secretly peered down at the mortal world. When they heard of the miserable plight of the poor filial son Dong Yong (Yang Zi), the kind-hearted Seventh Sister (Eva Huang) and Xiwangmu's adopted daughter Zhang Qiao-Zui (Chen Jie) flew down to the mortal world to help the unfortunate Dong Lang. It so happened that Dong Yong was carrying the wounded Liu Da-Xia (Yang Jun-Feng) on his back, and mistaking Seventh Sister for a savior of his father, he offered her an immortal pill. Show more From then on, Liu Da-Xia became Seventh Sister's protector. When the Jade Emperor learned that the seven daughters had descended to the mortal world, he flew into a rage and ordered Lei Gong and Dian Mu to go down and capture them, but Liu Da-Xia bravely foiled every attempt. Seventh Sister and Qiao-Zui both fell in love with the honest Dong Yong. Seventh Sister used her immortal powers to make the old locust tree act as matchmaker, and the two were married. Together they went to Landlord Fu's estate to repay the debt incurred for burying Dong Yong's father. Qiao-Zui, who had by then mistakenly become the young mistress of the Fu household, harbored a deep grudge against Seventh Sister for stealing her love and devised vicious schemes to torment her. After eighty-one trials and tribulations, the true love between Dong Yong and Seventh Sister finally moved the Jade Emperor.
