Description:
Ke Lei (Chen Kun) quietly struggles to make his way in Beijing while falling in love with Su Yan (Yang Xue), a nurse who already has a fiance. In his heart he holds fast to his love for Su Yan, yet he keeps her only as a friend, speaking only of things that have nothing to do with love. For Su Yan firmly believes she can go forever without betraying a relationship. And yet love swiftly blossoms between this man and woman who maintain a friendship. Su Yan advances and retreats by turns: she knows she has already fallen for Ke Lei, but dares not take the step of betrayal. Show more
The arrival of Si Jia-Yi (Ruby Lin) brings color to Ke Lei's somewhat helpless life. Lively and cheerful, bold and ready to take responsibility, she is deeply in love with Ke Lei, her old classmate, and even moves into his home to "live together" with him. Yet Si Jia-Yi knows full well that Ke Lei loves the gentle, beautiful Su Yan. She is willing to scheme and plan for Ke Lei on how to pursue Su Yan rather than let him be unhappy. But no one understands how forbearingly Si Jia-Yi loves Ke Lei; he even resents her for meddling too much in his life and wants her to return to her own. He does not know that no one can extinguish the fire of love in Si Jia-Yi's heart, nor that he and Si Jia-Yi are the pair who should ultimately end up together
