Description:
Xi-Fen (Cherrie Ying) appears to be an ordinary housewife, but in truth she is a disciple of the mahjong master Guo San-Dong and a skilled player herself. She loves mahjong, but loves her husband Zi-Xiong (Terence Yin) even more — though he dislikes her obsession with the game. Zi-Xiong is a good-for-nothing small-time crook who has caught the eye of the gambling world's boss, Brother Gui. At the same time, Brother Gui's sister has also set her sights on Zi-Xiong and will stop at nothing to take him from Xi-Fen, leaving her deeply worried. Show more Xi-Fen's senior fellow disciple Shi-San-Fei (Yuen Qiu) and junior fellow disciple Chu-Lian (Tiffany Lee) step in with advice and training. But Zi-Xiong still cannot resist temptation and decides to divorce Xi-Fen. In a mahjong match against Bo-Bo, Xi-Fen loses her husband. Heartbroken, she attempts suicide, but with encouragement from her master and fellow disciples, she resolves to regain her lost confidence and vows to win back Bo-Bo at the Mahjong Goddess tournament.
