Description:
Market salesman Gan Xiao-Wen (Patrick Tam) is stingy by nature and never minces words, treating the destruction of his friends' happiness as both a natural thing and a way to survive. Over time, everyone around him learns to keep their distance. Then one day Gan Xiao-Wen has a dream: in it he meets his own conscience, which tells him he has only seven days left to live — within seven days he will surely die. Half-believing, half-doubting, Gan Xiao-Wen attends the wedding of his only friend Tie Nan, where he spouts nonsense and blurts out that he had a one-night stand with the bride, A Yin. Show more The wedding ends in discord and he is thrown out of the restaurant. Drunk, he drives home and is badly injured in a crash. While unconscious, his conscience appears again and promises him a chance to mend his ways — on the condition that within seven days seven people come to visit him.
Back from the dead, Gan Xiao-Wen returns to his company, but his colleagues look right through him, and no one is willing to be his savior. To save himself, A Gan vows to improve his relationships. Guided by an advertisement, he arrives at the EQ Academy, hoping to learn how to get along with people and find seven saviors. There he meets a female version of himself — a beautiful woman who wounds with her words and never spends a cent, the grocery store owner A Tong (Rachel Lee). A Tong is even more skilled than A Gan; before her, all his tricks are useless. Seeing A Tong, A Gan realizes how unbearable he himself has been, and decides to change her — while, without noticing, changing himself as well.
Meanwhile, the secret of the one-night stand ultimately leads to Tie Nan and A Yin breaking up. But once A Gan exposes the secret, A Yin actually feels relieved, and the calmer Tie Nan also ponders the matter. He realizes that A Gan's outburst untied the knot that had always weighed on them both, and they begin to see A Gan's good points. The seven-day deadline draws near. One day, while saving A Tong, A Gan is badly injured again. It is now the last, seventh day, and by his hospital bed, apart from a dejected A Tong, no one appears.
