Пай Ин (главный герой фильма), в роли Сан Вэн Чи со стреляющей палкой, устроившийся охранником, спас маленького сына тайного советника Ван Шу, в одежде которого обнаруживается тайное письмо с заговором премьер-министра Чинг Вэя с татарским королем по захвату Китая.
Боевая Чиа Лин, в роли госпожи Йин, немного мелькает в начале и чуток начинает сражаться с 39 минуты во флешбеке генерала Ло Лье, но действовать начинает только после часа на стороне Пай Ина. И, если вначале фильм был интересным, то, чем ближе к концу, тем больше глупостей (жаль малыша, но его слова "Я хочу умереть первым" какой-то запредел).
