Zhou has no choice but to accept. Around this time he runs into An, a friend of many years, only to discover that An has long since thrown in with Uncle Rong and is one of his right-hand men. Through An's introduction, Jun works his way into the gang, and along the way he even takes up with Rong's wife, Helen. Show more Rong's other lieutenant, Tiger, resents the way An and Jun have been promoted over him. An has actually wanted out for a long time; knowing Tiger has it in for him, he uses the excuse to retire into seclusion with his wife. Jun takes over An's business, and the police begin to suspect him, yet he doesn't stop investigating. Tiger seizes the chance to make his move, killing Rong and framing Jun for it. With nowhere left to turn, Jun goes to An for help, and An and his wife are caught up in it and die. By now Jun is beside himself with rage and decides to hunt Tiger down for revenge. After a bloody battle he finally wipes out the gang. Just then the police arrive, and seeing that Jun has done a great service, they finally confirm his status as an officer once more.
