Description:
In the training hall courtyard of the Golden Dragon Gang, gang leader Xie Wu-Yang and the Poison King Wu Qiong are locked in fierce combat. A flash of sword light, and Xie Wu-Yang silently severs one of Wu Qiong's arms. Unshaken in the face of danger, Wu Qiong releases a cloud of poison mist and flees with his followers, leaving no trace. Xie Wu-Yang is gravely poisoned, his life hanging by a thread. The gang's protector Tong Wan-Ling dismisses everyone, then uses her internal energy to transfer the poison from her senior brother's body into her own, falling into a coma on the brink of death. Show more Tong Wan-Ling's maternal grandparents, known in the martial world as the "Two Elders of Heaven and Earth," are masters of martial arts and poison alike, figures who straddle the line between good and evil. Xie Wu-Yang, who prides himself on belonging to a righteous sect, has always been reluctant to associate closely with the Two Elders, but to save his young junior sister, he travels a thousand li to seek their help.
Tong Wan-Ling has long harbored a secret love for Xie Wu-Yang, and seeing her senior brother humble himself so, she cannot help but feel a secret delight. During Tong Wan-Ling's recovery, one night she is knocked unconscious by a sleeping incense. The second senior brother Li Lai-Shun, who serves as both deputy gang leader and hall master of the Black Dragon Hall, is killed outside her room. The killer turns out to be the third senior brother Yan Zong-Qi, hall master of the Punishment Hall. Yan Zong-Qi insists that Li Lai-Shun had treacherous intentions, that he saw him leap from their young junior sister's room with his own eyes, and that he found the bronze crane used to release the sleeping smoke on the corpse. Hall Master Zhang and the disciples of the Black Dragon Hall firmly believe in the deputy gang leader's innocence and desperately beg the gang leader to judge the matter and clear his name. Xie Wu-Yang orders Tong Wan-Ling to temporarily take charge of the Black Dragon Hall and to join forces with its disciples to investigate the truth. But no sooner has one crisis passed than another arises: Xie Wu-Yang's wife is suddenly assassinated, and all evidence points to Tong Wan-Ling.
