Sha Ying 杀婴

Description:

One evening, the husband (Wong Chik-Sam) had just come home from outside. The wife (Fang Ying) sat silently beside the newborn baby, without a sound. The baby lay in the bed, likewise without a sound. The husband went over to check and found that the baby had already stopped breathing. The couple had been married for three years; the husband was busy with work and social engagements, coming home late; the wife was introverted, idle at home all day, and the two communicated less and less. Later, the wife became pregnant — something that should have been a cause for joy, but for her it became a source of pressure, and her depression grew ever more severe.
