Princess Being Marriage 格格要出嫁

Description:

In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, the young Fu-Lin ascended the throne and took the reign title Shunzhi (played by Zhuo Yong-Teng). The daughter of a Mongol khan, Jinchan (played by Ni Rui-Si), entered the palace and was granted the title of ge-ge, but was later betrothed by the Emperor's mother (played by Bo Hong) to the Eleventh Prince, Bomu Guoer (played by Shi Dan-Jiang), to Shunzhi's great dismay, for he had long harbored a secret love for Jinchan. After spending some time together, Jinchan discovered that the Eleventh Prince was devious and frivolous, and she was unwilling to marry him. Jinchan's father had once saved Duo Er-Gun's life (played by Kou Zhen-Hai), and to keep Jinchan from learning the truth, he schemed relentlessly to marry her off as soon as possible, but all his arrangements were foiled one by one by the clever Jinchan. The Emperor's mother intended to choose Duo Luo (played by Lin Qing) as empress, but Duo Er-Gun instead recommended Fucha Zhen'er (played by Shen Li-Zi), the daughter of the Mongol prince Wu Ke-Shan, and Shunzhi was utterly disheartened when he heard the news. Duo Er-Gun was sabotaged during a hunt and was dragged to death by his horse, and his retainers scattered like a tree falling with its monkeys. After Duo Luo and Shunzhi married and she bore a prince, Jinchan was unwilling to remain in the palace any longer and decided to return to the vast grasslands. When Shunzhi heard of this, he no longer clung to the throne and resolved to become a monk.
