Crazy Beggar So: Oracle of Heaver 武状元苏乞儿之天降神谕

Description:

In the final years of the Qing Dynasty, the Western powers watched from the shadows, flexing their strength and flaunting their dominance, while the common people struggled to survive. Just then, a "divine oracle" descended upon the land, spreading word that the Great Qing was doomed. And as if to confirm it, the emperor's appointed ministers began dying one after another in quick succession. To silence the wagging tongues, the Emperor resolved to hold a grand rite of sacrifice to Heaven, and in secret appointed the surviving Nine Gates Commander Fu Cha Yu-Heng to investigate the case covertly. Fu Cha Yu-Heng knew all too well how grave the matter was — one misstep, and the court would be thrown into turmoil. He had no choice but to seek help from his old friend Su Can, former martial arts champion and current chief of the Beggars' Gang. Given the gravity of the situation, and with Fu Cha Yu-Heng pressing him both with pleas and threats, Su Can agreed to step in. But then mishaps came one after another: first Su Can and Fu Cha Yu-Heng were repeatedly targeted by assassins, and soon after, several ministers died suddenly, their bodies all corroded in the same manner. The assassins were all masters of illusion, ruthless in their methods and indiscriminate in their killing, making Su Can realize just how thorny this case was — behind it all must lie a shocking secret.
