Description:
The residents of the little courtyard in "Lower Your Head and You Don't See It, Raise Your Head and You Do" are tangled in endless conflicts, yet bound by ties they cannot bear to sever. To open a new gate, the neighbors scheme and fight among themselves, sometimes losing all sense of humanity. But when the gate finally opens, what awaits them is not a dream come true but shattered illusions and unexpected surprises. The small inn in the courtyard takes in all sorts of men and women, and every uninvited guest brings a storm of no small consequence. Through the changes in the courtyard, we see the reflection of the times and tradition in our lives; through the human warmth within it, we read the vicissitudes of the years and the ways of the world.
