Description:
Xu Tan is a shy young man who, influenced since childhood by his grandfather's love of table tennis, took up the sport to build up his health. Later, when he was about to leave table tennis behind, he was discovered by a mentor, and through rigorous technical, physical, and psychological training, he ultimately overcame countless hardships and pressures to become the most well-rounded and most trusted absolute mainstay of the team. Yu Ke-Nan is unruly and defiant by nature, having learned to play since childhood under his father, a former national table tennis player. Show more From a young age he resolved to become a world champion, and on the table tennis path he always charged ahead triumphantly, confident and proud, regarded as a genius-type player. The two grow up together, and the series chooses Xu Tan and Yu Ke-Nan as its main entry points, reflecting the steel-like youth of a generation of young athletes, with hot-blooded passion and hard struggle as its keynote. Xu Tan, as a "growth-type player," loses again and again and is never favored, yet he withstands the pressure and strives to grow; the "firmness" of youth lies in going forward without hesitation. "Genius youth" is both praise and burden, yet Yu Ke-Nan can ignore outside gossip and press on indomitably; the "firmness" of youth lies in the blade drawn from its sheath. The athletes represented by Xu Tan and Yu Ke-Nan pour out their sweat on the court and meet every challenge with all their strength.
