Steel Meets Fire 烈火金钢

Description:

In 1941, the famous May First Great Sweep took place on the Hebei Plain. Tens of thousands of Japanese invaders carried out a frenzied "three alls" policy against our base areas. The anti-Japanese soldiers and civilians, unwilling to be slaves of a conquered nation, launched a counter-sweep against the enemy under the leadership of the Party. One day, a battle that shook the earth took place in Qiaotou Town. After completing a covering mission, Eighth Route Army platoon leader Shi Geng-Xin (played by Shen Jun-Yi) was seriously wounded. Rescued by the district squad, he was hidden in a fellow villager's cellar. Scout Xiao Fei (played by Li Qiang) single-handedly stirred up the county town and brought back urgently needed Western medicine. District chief Jin Yue-Bo (played by Song Chun-Li) turned the wedding of puppet army captain Diao Shi-Gui (played by Ge You) into a funeral and successfully persuaded the puppet troops to revolt. Ding Shang-Wu (played by Zhao Xiao-Rui) and others raided the enemy camp and rescued a large number of captured women. Moving like ghosts behind enemy lines, they wiped out strongholds, burned blockhouses, and punished traitors, striking terror into the enemy and effectively supporting the main force's operations.
