Description:
A hundred years ago, the Winged Emperor Feng Tian-Yi and the Star-Flowing Flower Goddess Yi Fu-Ling broke the cycle of the Flower Goddess's reincarnation: the Flower Goddess pendant vanished, and the Star-Flowing Flower Goddess no longer descended into the world. Over the century that followed, the Winged Clan built a new Castle in the Sky as their imperial capital. No longer a weapon, the Castle in the Sky is now an imperial palace drifting eternally in the air, a spiritual totem of the Winged Clan. Show more Yet a hundred years later, the world is far from peaceful. The Winged Emperor Feng Yuan-Hui is brutal and warlike, and relying on his nation's strength he recklessly invades the small neighboring states, plunging the land of Lanzhou into the smoke of war. In secret, a force formed by Winged and humans alike — the Dark Wing Legion — grows ever stronger. Their dream is to overthrow the Feng dynasty of the Winged Clan and restore the world of a hundred years ago, when humans and Winged ruled together. A human girl, Su Yan, depends on her elder sister for survival, and by chance the two join the Dark Wing Legion. Su Yan gradually falls in love with the legion's leader, Feng Jing-Yuan. In the end Su Yan sacrifices herself, foiling Xiang Jing-Kong's scheme. Feng Jing-Yuan ascends the throne alone: he saves all living beings, yet loses the one he loves most.
