Show more But she never published another work, and the publisher's politely worded rejection letters plunged her into deep pain. Until one day, she met an old man who knew about tea, and everything changed. Zheng Shi was once a veteran salesman at a state-run tea shop, well versed in the art of tea. After retirement, he lived a leisurely life. He lived with his son, who was busy with business all day and settled the old man in a luxury apartment on the top floor of a tower block. Food and drink were no worry, yet the son could not spare any time to keep him company. In his loneliness, one day the old man invited several old buddies to his home to drink tea and sing opera, but it happened to coincide with his son's business troubles and bad mood, so everyone parted on a sour note.
