During his doctoral studies, Yan Shu-Ren unexpectedly met and fell in love with his junior schoolmate Sun Shu. While they were dating, family upheavals on both sides led Shu-Ren to take a leave of absence to avoid Sun Shu, and she chose to study abroad in Japan. Five years later, their mentor Chen Yuan-Geng invited them one after another to Sikan Hospital. After their reunion, Shu-Ren wanted to repair his relationship with Sun Shu, but at first she responded coldly. Later, while her mother was undergoing treatment, she began to feel her love for Shu-Ren again. Show more As Shu-Ren treated patients, Sun Shu kept helping him, and the two reconciled. Chen Yi-Fan, Yan Shu-Ren's junior schoolmate from his undergraduate years, gradually developed feelings for Sun Shu, but she quickly rejected him. Shu-Ren accidentally learned that his mother had died in a car accident eight years earlier, and he fell into severe self-blame, even doubting his own professional achievements. Through Sun Shu's efforts, Yan Shu-Ren gradually recovered, and the two decided to return to the place in Japan where they had studied and enter into married life.
