Description:
Xu Jia-Hui (Tu Song-Yan) is a true Shanghai native who by chance meets a Beijing girl, Hao Jing-Ni (Ma Yi-Li). Though a long-distance romance is fraught with difficulties, and their relationship meets strong opposition from Xu's mother Yang Man-Li (Zhang Xiao-Lei), the two still cannot bring themselves to part with the one they love. When Hao Jing-Ni is in a car accident on her way to see Xu Jia-Hui in Shanghai, he is deeply moved and, household registration book in hand, resolutely flies to Beijing to marry her. Show more After weighing how to care for both sets of parents and balance their own jobs, the couple begins a two-city life after marriage. But married life is not as wonderful and simple as courtship: not only do the huge travel expenses make them feel increasingly strained, the trivialities of daily life also come one after another. The differences between the Xu family's meticulous, careful budgeting and the Hao family's straightforward, easygoing nature repeatedly intensify the latent conflicts of this two-city life. As time goes by, living apart also breeds suspicion and doubt between Xu Jia-Hui and Hao Jing-Ni. So can the two withstand this series of trials and get their life back on track?
