Description:
In the final years of the Yuan dynasty, the realm is in turmoil, with hidden forces stirring on all sides. Wudang disciple Zhang Cui-Shan (Ken Cheung) and Yin Susu, daughter of the Demon Cult's leader, are drawn into the troubled world of martial arts by the Dragon Sabre that all jianghu covets, and in the end, left with no way out, both take their own lives. They leave behind a son, Zhang Wu-Ji (Deng Chao), who grows to manhood amid setbacks and hardships and, through a series of extraordinary encounters and twists of fate, masters peerless martial arts. Show more Upright and talented, Zhang Wu-Ji, with his superb skills, not only saves the Ming Cult in its hour of peril and is raised to its leadership, but also, through a fight that turns into friendship, meets the Yuan dynasty princess Zhao Min (Ady Ang) — willful, headstrong, and calculating. Through their repeated clashes, Zhao Min gradually falls for Zhang Wu-Ji, yet their love is sorely tested when his childhood sweetheart Zhou Zhi-Ruo (Liu Jing), consumed by jealousy, repeatedly schemes against Zhao Min. The appearance of the Heaven-Reliant Sword and the Dragon Sabre sparks a struggle between the righteous and the wicked, and this divide between good and evil makes Zhang Wu-Ji's love for Zhao Min all the more conflicted. Can the two cross these chasms and come together?
