Liu-Lang's only son, Zong-Bao (Vincent Chiu), risked his life to save his father and thus met Hao-Nan's fiancée, Mu Gui-Ying (Amy Chan), the young heiress of the Mu Ke stockade. Show more The two pledged themselves to each other in secret. Empress Xiao (Gung Suet-Fa), bent on invading China, offered the Sixteen Prefectures of Yan-Yun as a reward and urgently recalled Hao-Nan to court to take command. With a million-strong army at his disposal, Hao-Nan set up the invincible Ziwei Jiusha Heaven Gate Formation and pressed toward Song territory. Gui-Ying, already carrying Zong-Bao's child, yet filled with boundless courage, did not shrink from giving birth on the battlefield and ultimately led the Song army to break through the Heaven Gate Formation and return to court in triumph.
