A short series, Waiting to Meet You in a Glorious Age, is in pre-production in Yuxi, Yunnan. It comes from the team behind Fire and Gunfire, the city’s first local film to receive a theatrical release. The filmmakers introduced the project at a press conference on October 31, and local outlet Yuxi Net published details on November 6.

The story follows young city dwellers reaching out to one another across time. The team plans to shoot on location, including at Fuxian Lake and in the Ailao Mountains, and to cast local actors in many of the roles.
