Filming began in Ningbo on November 4 on the medical drama I See You (重症监护), starring Hu Ge, Wen Qi and Tamia Liu Tao. Set in a cardiac surgery intensive care unit, the series follows two generations of nurses.
Hu Ge plays Lin Yuanchuan, Wen Qi plays Lu Zhenzhen and Tamia Liu plays Yang Xinyue. The creators promise a look at nurses' everyday work: demanding workloads, professional challenges and the clash between their elders' experience and younger colleagues' idealism. In his post announcing the start of filming, Hu Ge briefly declared that Lin Yuanchuan had reported for duty.
For Hu Ge and Tamia Liu, this is a new collaboration following Nirvana in Fire (2015). Historical costumes and palace intrigue give way to a modern hospital and medical uniforms. Viewers may remember Wen Qi from the Taiwanese drama The Bold, the Corrupt and the Beautiful (2017). All three are part of the new project's principal cast.
The first poster sets the mood, showing hospital staff running down a corridor toward the light. It carries the English title I See You, which sounds like ICU, the abbreviation for intensive care unit. It also announces online streaming on iQIYI. No exact premiere date appears on the poster yet.
