Hong Kong actor and singer Ronald Cheng Chung-Kei returned to Wan Chai Family Court on November 2 as proceedings following his separation continued. His father and former wife also attended the closed hearing. The reports did not announce a new court ruling or agreed payment amounts.

According to HK01’s report, the actor’s father arrived around nine in the morning, followed by Cheng. The hearing ended at about one in the afternoon. His former wife left first with her lawyers and, asked about financial arrangements, thanked reporters for their interest but declined to comment.

Cheng and his father left around fifteen minutes later. Reporters asked whether his former wife had sought increased payments, but received no direct answer. The parties’ appearance in court therefore does not itself confirm changed terms or an end to the dispute.

Cheng married in 2011, and the couple have a son and a daughter. In June 2025, he publicly confirmed the divorce. At the time, he also denied reports that he was willing to pay only HK$8,000 per child each month, saying the figure was untrue. The latest hearing offers no grounds for presenting that old rumour as an established payment amount.
