Description:
Li Xiao-Zhang (Alan Tam) is an educated youth sent down to the Dongfeng Farm. One day, he goes into the city to see a play and is mistaken by the troupe's director Zhao (Tsui Fu-Sheng), Culture Bureau chief Sun (Lui Ming) and others for a high official's son, receiving a warm welcome from everyone. For a moment, Li Xiao-Zhang cannot find a chance to clear up the misunderstanding.
Li Xiao-Zhang has a girlfriend named Zhou Ming-Hua (Nancy Hu). The two met at the farm, dated for years, and are deeply attached to each other. Show more However, Zhou Ming-Hua has already pulled strings to have herself transferred back to the city, while Li Xiao-Zhang remains on the farm. For this reason, Zhou Ming-Hua's father firmly opposes their union. But by then Zhou Ming-Hua is already carrying Li Xiao-Zhang's child, and if they do not marry in time, she will be disgraced. Feted like a moon surrounded by stars, Li Xiao-Zhang is overwhelmed by the favor and resolves to play the role for real. He takes advantage of director Zhao and chief Sun, who need his help, to obtain for himself a referral letter to return to the city. Yet a lie is bound to be exposed one day, and after his identity is revealed, Li Xiao-Zhang stands in the defendant's dock.

За основу взят Ревизор Гоголя (inspector general by h.gordoriz написано в начальных титрах , но кто такой H.Gordoriz я не знаю) плюс добавлена политическая сатира (действие происходит в КНР 60-хх гг) и драматическая часть с любовной линией.Смотреть можно упертым фанатам Тама , т.к. всё-таки акцент больше сделан на пропагандистскую сатиру ( фильм то тайваньский всё-таки) , поэтому немного и затянуто и уныло .Но как говорится , на цвет и вкус... Примечателен фильм песней Терезы Тенг (Тан , Танг,Тэн - я зову её Танг) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khYWw12-HIQ . Плюс вот ещё интересное видео https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53y-_wWX-NU , где есть намек ремейк что ли ? (смотрите внимательно с 6 секунды ). В наличие на Рутрекере( Если бы я был настоящим ).
