To control Lu further, the prince forces his goddaughter Fei-Feng to marry him. Show more But the young prince, Wan Pin-Ding-Guo, had intended to take Fei-Feng as his wife, and seeing his beloved taken from him, he bides his time for revenge. First he schemes to lure Fei-Feng into stealing Lu's gold medallion, nearly getting Lu killed. After Fei-Feng sees the truth, she is disgusted by the deeds of the prince and his son; she also senses that Lu is a true gentleman, and secret feelings for him begin to stir. That night, when Lu secretly searches the research institute, he falls into an ambush and is rescued in the critical moment by a masked master. While escaping, the masked stranger is accidentally wounded, and later Lu discovers Fei-Feng secretly treating her injury in her room, realizing she is his savior.
