Description:
In the early years of the Tang dynasty, the Phoenix Seal — the symbol of the Empress's power — goes missing, sparking a wave of forged edicts and the murders of court officials. The "Phoenix Seal Case" throws the court into turmoil: the conservatives show no sign of alarm on the surface, but secretly hasten their plotting. It is at this very moment that Di Ren-Jie (Zhou Yi-Wei), on his way to sit the imperial examinations, inadvertently becomes entangled in a bizarre murder.
The series begins as Di Ren-Jie, investigating the murder, discovers its connection to the disappearance of the Phoenix Seal. Show more Through stories of Di Ren-Jie serving in various posts and repeatedly cracking baffling cases — punishing corrupt officials, guarding the coastal defenses, rooting out organized crime, upholding the law, and helping the people live in peace — while also unraveling the mystery of his own origins, the drama reveals Di Ren-Jie's creed of the unity of knowledge and action.
