Siliau: A Place to Be Seen 看见西廖

Description:

Siliau: A Place to Be Seen is produced by the Dandelion Choir. Inspired by the true experience of Chen Shu-Mei, principal of Siliau Chinese Primary School in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, who originally hoped to compose a school song, it came together through the introduction of music teacher Lin Ying-Qian and a meeting of minds with Pauline Tan, leading to this short film based on a true educational story. Both hope that this story — recording how the principal, teachers, students, and community join hands to protect their belief in education — can awaken society's understanding of and resonance with rural education, and also let society see the warmth and power of education, and believe: "Let love be seen in time."
