Dongjiang Wind And Cloud 东江风云

Description:

The film is set against the historical episode of the defense of Liuhua Tower in Dongguan, where the first shot of resistance against the Japanese invaders was fired in South China. In 1938, the Japanese army advanced south into Guangdong, launching surprise attacks on Dayawan, Humen, and other areas. Wherever the Japanese went, they burned, killed, and plundered, stopping at nothing; the people endured cruel suffering, which aroused deep outrage among the people of Dongjiang and overseas Chinese! People's armed militias formed by the sons and daughters of Guangdong and a group of patriotic overseas Chinese raised high the banner of resistance and threw themselves into the movement to save the nation, becoming the mainstay of the anti-Japanese struggle behind enemy lines in South China. With their hot blood and lives, they wrote a glorious chapter in the history of the Guangdong people's anti-Japanese war.
