Turn Ill Luck Into Good 逢凶化吉

Description:

On the eve of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a village school in Jiangnan was bombed into ruins. The young teacher Fan Jin is bullied by a group of Japanese soldiers. During an air raid by Japanese planes, he narrowly escapes death. Unexpectedly, through an absurd twist of fate, a single punch lands him on a train to the county town. In the town, the Japanese military police headquarters is frantically searching for a liaison officer of the New Fourth Army. The enraged regimental commander Kiikura orders that this liaison officer must be captured within three days. Through a cruel twist of fate, Fan Jin is thrown into prison: Zhang Ke, deputy captain of the investigation team, mistakes him for a New Fourth Army soldier. On a stormy night, with the help of his fellow inmates, Fan Jin escapes from the tiger's den. The prison warden, to shift the blame, paints Fan Jin as an extraordinary hero. Believing these tales, Kiikura roars with rage, demanding Fan Jin's capture.
