The Floating Generation 岛屿协奏曲

Description:

Three Hong Kong women, each in different circumstances and stages of life, decide for their own reasons and expectations to leave Hong Kong and try to put down roots on the island of Taiwan. Yet between imagination and reality there is often an unpredictable distance. Faye (27), a Hong Kong girl, had planned to relax on a trip to Taipei and stay temporarily at the home of her close friend Jia-Jia, who married a Taiwanese man. Seeing how attentively Jia-Jia's Taiwanese husband Shu-Hao cares for her, so different from Hong Kong men, Faye begins to toy with the idea of finding a husband in Taiwan. Lydia (35+), a diving instructor, and her husband Leo (35+) immigrated to Taiwan through investment several years ago, and together with their Taiwanese partner Jia-Rong (30+) they run a dive shop on Green Island. Business difficulties mixed with life's disappointments make Lydia feel more and more that the self who once came to Taiwan full of hope is now trapped and suffocating. Yvonne (39) has been a contract art teacher at a technical college in Taipei for four years, happily tending her blog "Yvonne's World" and enjoying life, truly living in the moment!
