The Busy Young Psychic 神算

Description:

Xie Jun-Ya is a high school girl who loves baseball but is tormented by her innate ability to see spirits. She goes to a Taoist temple to practice, hoping for relief, but instead of improvement, she is worshipped by believers who constantly come to her for consultations: from ancestral feng shui to lucky lottery numbers. Her work as a medium leaves Jun-Ya no time to practice baseball. Despite receiving many red envelopes, what this young psychic really cares about amid the adults' inquiries is: "Does the senior on the baseball team like me?" On the senior's birthday, her classmates throw a party, but Jun-Ya has a long queue of believers waiting for her to perform incense rituals and guide their lives. Facing the troubles of adolescent love and the heavy burden of traditional folk beliefs, how will she choose? The film stars new-generation actress Yu Pei-Jen (nominated for a Golden Bell Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Goodbye Summer") and veteran actor Chang Po-Chou. With a lighthearted, humorous plot and sincere, touching emotions, it is a work worth watching with the whole family.
