Description:
Tong Yu (Hans Zhang), Guo Chong (Du Chun), Li Jie-Sen (Huang Ming) and Xiang Xiao-Fei (Jing Chao) — four university friends with different personalities, hailing from all corners of the country. Together they went through their youth, and now they are past thirty.
In Shanghai in 2020, Tong Yu has become an AI engineer, Guo Chong a university lecturer, Xiang Xiao-Fei a brand store manager, and Li Jie-Sen a Western restaurant chef. All four men have matured and grown steadier, yet each faces his own male predicaments. Show more Tong Yu confronts enormous difficulties in his research, Guo Chong loses his passion in a stable job, Li Jie-Sen cannot break through a bottleneck, and Xiang Xiao-Fei struggles between money and ideals. The four men face a typical midlife crisis, supporting one another and seeking breakthroughs through ups and downs. And each of them encounters love in his own life: Tong Yu's feelings with Xu Duo (Wang Xiao-Chen), a female company executive, rise and fall; Guo Chong and graduate Amy (Li Hao-Fei) keep each other at arm's length; Li Jie-Sen pursues his idol, Weibo writer Yue Zi-Qian (Zhang Ya-Mei); and Xiang Xiao-Fei has a whirlwind marriage with businesswoman Liu Sheng-Nan (Xiao Han). The path of love is far more winding than that of career.
