This is the story of Yang Jian (Ethan Li Dong-Xue), who braves the Wind-Thunder Tower, battles the evil spirits of the Three Sky Fairies, slays the wicked gods, opens his Heaven Eye, and ascends to godhood. Together with Meng Yue (Mini Fu Meng-Ni), a lotus-gathering girl, and Yu Lang (Hu Wei), the town chief's son, he forms a god-slaying squad to break the Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation and protect the local people. Through the trials and the breaking of the formation, Yang Jian transforms into a fire spirit, opens his Heaven Eye, and completes his metamorphosis from a mortal into a deified hero.
