Po Sui Qing Chun 破碎青春

Description:

Ah-Tung (Hong Jie-Hua) and Joey (Pong Hiu-Hung) are best friends. Both love to play around and neglect their studies, and both have the bad habit of abusing drugs. Their wayward behavior stems mainly from their family backgrounds: Ah-Tung was born into a broken home — her father is busy with work all day and constantly involved with different women, neglecting any care for his daughter; while Joey's household is plagued by domestic violence — her mother endures her father's verbal and physical abuse every day, and Joey, while hating her father, also finds her mother weak. In addition, Ah-Tung suffers from a heart condition and only surgery can give her a chance at recovery, yet life's hardships have led her to give up on treatment and on herself. In a car accident, Joey nearly dies, and at that moment the two girls feel the preciousness of life and set out anew on their own paths.
