Ning Yu Jing 宁与静

Description:

Ah Jing (Ren Yue-Ming) is a fifteen-year-old girl from a middle-class family. Her parents are busy running their business all day and hardly ever say a word to her, which leaves Ah Jing deeply depressed. One morning, she decides to run away from home. On the way, she meets her close friend Ah Ning (Wong Oi-Yiu), who has also just decided to run away after being beaten and scolded by her father. The two wander from place to place. Ah Ning, who grew up in a poor family, leads the unaccustomed Ah Jing around, and when they run out of money, they even steal food from a supermarket. Along the way, the unsavory characters Ah Ning knows try to take advantage of them, but the girls firmly refuse. Exhausted, Ah Jing calls home, only to find that her parents are just as neglectful as ever, leaving her utterly disheartened.
