Description:

Feng Yi (Fu Yu-Lan) and He Shu-Xian (Chan Ga-Bik) are good friends who work together at the Tai Lam Women's Correctional Centre, where they must maintain order among the inmates and arrange their work assignments. One afternoon in 1971, everything at the Tai Lam Women's Correctional Centre is as usual, except that a group of female prisoners, weary of the monotony of life, stir up a brief commotion. Later, Shu-Xian prepares to take two female inmates to the back yard to water the flowers, but several other inmates volunteer to help, so Shu-Xian allows them to come along. It turns out that the inmates who volunteered were not motivated by good intentions, but were plotting an escape. Caught off guard, Shu-Xian is attacked on the way back to the cells and is gravely injured. In the end, the escapees are all recaptured, but Shu-Xian succumbs to her injuries, leaving her good friend Feng Yi heartbroken.
