Description:
"Bao Gong" uses the techniques of legend and the special means of television to bring to the screen the image of Bao Qingtian—an upright man who never bends, fears no powerful figures, is utterly impartial, and enforces the law like a mountain. While shaping his upright side, it also endows him with personal passions and a rich human warmth. With a realist approach, it restores the image of Bao Gong, long deified in opera, to an artistic figure of strongly human character—one who thinks, aspires, rejoices, suffers, achieves, and stumbles. Show more After "Bao Gong" aired, it was enormously welcomed by experts and television audiences alike, winning a flood of praise.
The Yellow River flows far and long; it has nurtured countless figures, bright as stars, from ancient times to the present, and enchanting tales beyond number. During the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Northern Song, there appeared a figure praised by all to this day and known to every household—Bao Zheng.
