Description:
After the fall of the Tang Dynasty, nearly a century of chaos during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms brought untold suffering to the people. Zhao Kuang-Yin, who had donned the yellow robe, swept across the land and began the final decisive battle against the Northern Han and the Liao. His great work unfinished, he died before his time, and passed the throne to his younger brother Zhao Guang-Yi. Emperor Tai-Zong of Song used Hu Yan-Zan's cunning to capture the Northern Han's great general Yang Ji-Ye. Show more The fierce warrior, following the King of Northern Han, tearfully submitted to the Song Dynasty. The all-powerful Grand Preceptor Pan Ren-Mei set up a fighting ring, with his son Pan Bao as the champion; whoever won would lead the Song army against the Liao. The hot-blooded Yang Qi-Lang and Yang Ba-Lang, ignoring their father's objections, secretly entered the contest and beat Pan Bao to death, thus forging a deep and bitter hatred with the Pan family. At Lianglang Mountain and Golden Sand Beach, the Yang troops fell into Empress Dowager Xiao's trap and were further sabotaged by Pan Ren-Mei, ultimately meeting a bloody and catastrophic end. Liu-Lang made his way back to the capital, determined to lodge an imperial complaint and seek justice for his family.
