Sister Gan Nineteen 甘十九妹

Description:

The once mighty Yueyang Sect was wiped out overnight by a mysterious woman, Sister Gan Nineteen (Lucy Yang Lu). The sect leader Xian Bing (Han Chun-Yu), knowing this was retribution for an old feud in the martial arts world, passes on to his disciple Yin Jian-Ping (Zhang Zi-Jian) a jade amulet that wards off poison, a gift from his enemy Shui Hong-Shao (Wu Jing-Ping). Relying on his martial skills and the amulet's protection, Yin fights his way out of the siege and on the way rescues a beautiful girl, Yuchi Lan-Xin (Yan Bing-Yan), from the bandit Yun Zhong-He. Though Lan-Xin's companionship brings a little light into Yin's blood-soaked life, Sister Gan Nineteen vows to leave no disciple of the Yueyang Sect alive and pursues them relentlessly. In the course of this chase, the cold and ruthless Sister Gan Nineteen also develops conflicted feelings for Yin Jian-Ping. Martial feuds and romantic entanglements weave into an inextricable knot...
The film is adapted from the wuxia novel of the same name by Chinese-American writer Xiao Yi.
