Xue Ling Long 血玲珑

Description:

Real-estate tycoon Kuang Zong-Yuan (Jiang Kai) is murdered, and Bo Xiu-Wen (Heidi Wang Ji) comes under police scrutiny. Bo is a formidable businesswoman, and her husband, Xia Jian-Shi (Ho Zheng-Jun), is a university professor. The couple are together in name only, held together by their daughter, Zao-Zao. Kuang had once pursued Bo obsessively, but she turned him down, so he schemed to force her into a business partnership. Then Zao-Zao suddenly falls ill with a rare disease, and the only hope is for Bo and Xia to have another child, using the newborn's cord blood to save her. Wei Xiao-Ri (Wang Hui), a doctor returned from abroad, is shocked to discover that Zao-Zao is not Xia's daughter. When Bo learns the truth, it hits her like a thunderbolt: she remembers that thirteen years ago, on her way to the countryside to care for her mother-in-law, she was raped. To save her daughter's life, Bo resolves to burn her boats and track down the rapist. The blow hits Xia no less hard, and he is on the verge of a breakdown; Dr. Wei tells him that at this critical moment he must show the backbone of a man.
