Description:
Da Bao and Er Bao are twin sisters, but because their father Zhao Da trafficked in foreign guns, the family could not remain in their hometown, and he was forced to take Er Bao far away, so the sisters were separated from childhood. When they grew up, the younger sister, Er Bao, married the warlord Qian Du-Ban and became his seventh concubine, living a life of luxury and extravagance. The elder sister, Da Bao, married a carpenter named Brother Tao. Though Brother Tao was poor, he was honest and kind by nature, and the two lived a hard life, with the burden of family life resting entirely on Brother Tao's shoulders. Show more To share her husband's burden, Da Bao left behind her child, who was not yet a full month old, and went out to find work. By coincidence, Da Bao ended up working as a wet nurse in Qian Du-Ban's mansion, and Er Bao happened to be her mistress, yet the two did not recognize each other. Brother Tao was seriously injured at work, and the impoverished Da Bao begged Er Bao to advance part of her wages to save her husband, but the arrogant Er Bao not only showed no sympathy for Da Bao, but slapped her across the face. Driven by desperation, Da Bao had no choice but to steal the golden lock from the young master's person, but at that moment she was seen by Er Bao's sister-in-law. In her panic, Da Bao accidentally knocked over a vase, which fell and struck Er Bao's sister-in-law on the head, killing her. Thus Da Bao was arrested for murder.
